Intermediate Dry Stone Walling: Hog Hole Construction

A practical intermediate wall-building course over 2 days, working with a local master craftsman, Mike Thwaites. This course will focus on the construction of hog holes and is suitable for those who have basic dry stone walling knowledge and skills and are wanting to improve. It will be based out in the field for both days.

You will need stout waterproof footwear, ideally steel toe-caps, waterproof clothing and warm layers. Bring a packed lunch, drinking water and a flask each day.

The location is north of the village of Bouth on the road to Hay Bridge Nature Reserve.

Booking essential. 10am - 4pm each day.
