Woodland Crafts and Tales

Join us for a great day out at Stott Park Bobbin Mill with greenwood workshops, hazel hurdle making, swill baskets, bobbin mill tours, walks, talks, storytelling, the annual Coppice Association North West charcoal earthburn, food and music.

Listen to the tales and legends of Taffy Thomas and see local crafts-people demonstrating heritage crafts.

Throughout the weekend there will also be a rare chance to see a traditional 'Earthburn' in action - see craftsmen from the Coppice Association North West group at work using techniques that are over 800 years old.

There will be the opportunity to explore the fascinating project discoveries and hear about the brilliant work of the Rusland Horizons apprentices and local volunteers.

Admission to the site is free. Charges apply for tours of the Bobbin Mill. No booking required (except for greenwood workshops).

We look forward to seeing you at Stott Park Bobbin Mill, Finsthwaite LA12 8AX for this great weekend.
