‘The Settlements and History of Finsthwaite’ - A unique chance to time travel with Sophia Martin

Location: Finsthwaite Village Hall

Using her mother's detailed archives Sophia will bring the past to life and sharing stories of local farming, rural life and scandals dating back to the 1530’s. Her lively talk will give an insight into the original Irish-Norse settlers and deepen our understanding of the local area. Sophia’s enthusiasm and passion for history is sure to inspire and entertain.
