Due to popular demand, Dr Jean Turnbull will be repeating her illustrated presentation about rural life in South Lakeland. Weaving in extracts taken from more than 300 interviews in the Kendal Oral History Group archive, Jean will describe the experience of people of all ages living in the country in the early twentieth century. This is a fascinating evening and an inspiration to those interested working on our Hidden Heritage projects.
