Dormouse Ecology Training Day

Are you interested in Dormouse ecology and monitoring techniques? Our native Hazel Dormouse was once widespread across the north of England. Significant decline has led to a project to help understand this more. We are holding a training day for volunteers to learn about Dormouse populations, habitat management enhancements and legislation, along with practical actions you can do to help conserve this endangered native species..
The results of future surveys will contribute to the understanding of dormouse populations in the South lakes and help in the development of a broader strategy for the conservation of the species in the area.
