Heritage Skills 2019: Improvers Dry Stone Walling

Location: Near Haybridge Nature Reserve, Bouth, Ulverston, LA12 8JG

Join master craftsman Mike Thwaites for an informative weekend designed to polish up your skills in the art of dry stone walling. If you are a beginner then please contact Rebecca Oaks rebecca.oaks@btinternet.com and we will see if we can accommodate you on this improvers course.

Meal breaks: Please bring a packed lunch and a flask.

What to wear: Boots and warm, waterproof clothes.

Directions:

The grid reference for the meeting place is SD 330 862 (7478) This is on the lane from Bouth if coming from the A590, turn at the White Hart) towards Hay Bridge Nature Reserve, Low Hay Bridge, LA12 8JG. When you take the lane to Hay Bridge, drive 300m and park next to the first cattle grid.

Age Limit: Courses are designed for 18years and over. If you are under 18, please contact us on rusland.horizons@lakedistrict.gov.uk to discuss other opportunities.

Weather:

It is your instructor's responsibility to ensure your safety. In the event of exceptionally poor or dangerous weather conditions the course may need to be cancelled.

Cancellation: Please let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel, as we can then offer your place to another on the waiting list.
