Event Description
Come along for our annual summer Rusland Horizons BBQ and catch up and launch of the latest Greenwood Trails guide at High Dam and Stott Park Bobbin Mill.
Schedule
The walk will start at High Dam Car Park at 5pm for 1-1.5 hours (moderate difficulty) and return back to car park for approx. 6.30. Walk or drive down the road to Stott Park Bobbin Mill for 6.45/7pm. Finish at approximately 8pm
What to expect
A friendly walk on a section of the brand new Greenwood Trails route at High Dam to chat about how we can ensure that the fruit of Rusland Horizons continues to flourish in the future and share view on this in a focused session. Wildlife and insect spotting on the way with the kids. Hear about the third Greenwood Trails guide and have a look at the displays back at Stott Park Bobbin Mill from 6.45pm. Children, dogs and grown ups welcome!
The route up to High Dam is moderate difficulty. The path is gravelled and goes up a hill. Many of you will be familiar with it.
There will be a free BBQ at the Bobbin Mill, where vegetarian and vegan options will be available. Join us for which ever part you would like to.
Need to Knows
- Wear sturdy footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather.
- Parking available at High Dam Car Park or Stott Park Bobbin Mill.
- This event is suitable for adults and children.
If people don’t want to do the walk at 5pm then meet us at the Bobbin Mill at 7pm
The event is FREE, however please book if you would like to come for the BBQ.
