Butterfly Conservation - The Argent & Sable Moth Event

Location: Starting at Roudsea National Nature Reserve (SD330827)

The Argent & Sable Moth - Talk and Field visits to learn about its habits and habitats.

The caterpillar of this rare day flying moth feeds on bog myrtle and birch trees. It was spotted in the Rusland Horizons Landscape Scheme area last summer. The hunt is now on to see where it is living, and where bog myrtle grows…. a good start for surveying. Lots of volunteers are needed for this project, so come along and find out more.

Numbers are limited so for more details or to book a place please contact Hilary Smith, hsmith@butterfly-conservation.org or ring 07946 026670
