As the warm weather persists hopefully until the end of the week we are going to run a survey of all the primrose patches at High Dam/Graythwaite estate on Friday 1st June meeting at High Dam Car Park at 10.15 am. Please come equipped for scrambling through undergrowth/bracken etc. I.e long trousers and sleeves recommended for avoiding ticks and sun burn, stout boots/shoes, sunhat and cream, insect repellent, lunch, plenty of water. We will be looking for butterfly eggs as well as the butterflies themselves, so a magnifying glass may be useful and we can do this whatever the weather.
