Lake District Field-Names with Angus Winchester

Join Kendal Historical and Archaeological Society for their next fascinating lecture on Monday 4 November.

Angus Winchester, emeritus professor of local and landscape history at Lancaster University will present Lake District Field-Names.

The talk will be held in the usual venue Shakespeare Centre, Highgate, Kendal, LA9 4HE, starting at 7.30 pm.

Visitors are most welcome to attend the lectures. Price £3.00 per lecture.

Angus Winchester worked alongside a group of volunteers in the Rusland Horizons Scheme area collecting and interpreting field names, this information went on to be included in his book Lake District Field-Names: A Guide for Local Historians.
