Jolly January Bash - Rhododendron Bashing

Join us for our Jolly January Bash! A day of conservation activities helping nature, wildlife and biodiversity. Dry-stone walling near Abbots Reading Farm, rhododendron bashing in Black Beck woods, a guided walk exploring the XXXX area and building bird boxes for the kids and other fun activities. Everyone is welcome, come along and join in!

Rhododendron Bashing

Come and join us in the beautiful woods at Black Beck, near Bouth, to cut back and remove invasive rhododendron so the native woodland and its flora can be restored. ‘Rhody bashing’ as it’s commonly called, will help to enhance and protect these woods, the wildlife and their habitats.

We will meet at Abbots Reading Farm, then there will be a short walk of about 20 minutes to Black Beck Woods, where we will be carrying out the rhododendron bashing during the day.

Booking is essential as places are limited. Suitable for 18+ only.
