Invasive Species Removal Work Party - December

Come and join us in the beautiful woods at Black Beck, near Bouth, to cut back and remove invasive rhododendron to help with the restoration of native woodland and its flora.

Rhododendrons are an invasive species, which offer little benefit to any form of wildlife and can carry, and spread, serious diseases to other trees and plants. The removal of them is, therefore, very important conservation work that will help to enhance and protect these woods, the wildlife and their habitats.

The day will most likely finish before 3pm and anyone that is only able to come for half a day, or even just a few hours, is more than welcome.

No prior experience is necessary and we will provide all tools and equipment needed.

Suitable for 14 years and over.
Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

No dogs, sorry.
