Marian Jones, our current Scheme Manager, is moving on to pastures new. So the Lake District National Park Authority, on behalf of the Rusland Valley & Fells Landscape Partnership, is looking to appoint an experienced project manager and team leader to take on the delivery of the Rusland Horizons landscape partnership scheme.
The Scheme started in 2016 and is now halfway through delivery. The Partnership is seeking a Scheme Manager to lead the staff team and work with partners to deliver a number of exciting projects to achieve a shared vision that:
'The Rusland Horizons Scheme encompasses a real living, working landscape. Local people, agencies and visitors will work together to revive traditional skills, and to learn about, enhance and enjoy the heritage, habitats and wildlife of this quiet and very special place.'
You will be responsible for the Scheme's progress and financial management. Critically, you will work with the partnership to develop a strong legacy strategy. To be successful, you will have a track record of managing successful HLF-funded projects and a natural flair for building and sustaining stakeholder relationships. Project management is a key aspect of this role. You will need to be adaptable and organised to manage this varied delivery programme.
In return, we can offer you the opportunity of making a real difference to the Rusland Horizons area, leading a friendly and focused staff team and supported by a wide network of organisations and members of the local community. This post is suitable for part time working. There are also opportunities for flexible working and secondments. For further information and to explore working options, please contact Marian Jones 07990 523265. Further information about the scheme is available at www.ruslandhorizons.org
