October's practical conservation volunteer work party concerns woodland restoration and rhododendron control at Underfield, a small estate between Bouth and Greenodd (postcode LA12 8HU). The work party will be led by Edward Mills, woodland management expert. No experience necessary.
Directions from A590: Take the turn off the A590 signed 'Bouth' (between the Rusland Pool Hotel and Greenodd). Underfield's entrance gateway is just after the next junction and sharp left-hand bend.
What to bring: Essential: Suitable outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear, work gloves, lunch, drink. Desirable: protective boots, hard hat
